Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' at the top right of the website and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept Visa Credit, Visa Debit, Mastercard credit, Mastercard debit, JCB, Visa Electron and maestro cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, by mail or securely over the Internet.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

Please note that our shipping charges are valid for delivery of items up to 30KG in weight. Delivery charges for other destinations are calculated at the checkout before any payment details are submitted. Please note that we ship to EEC destinations The Channel Islands, Norway and Switzerland only.

Delivery Schedule

We will process your order as soon as possible. The vast majority of our orders received before 2.30 pm Monday to Friday are shipped the same day, however payment problems and exceptionally busy workloads can oiccassionally cause this to slip. Orders received after 2.30pm on Fridays and on Saturdays and Sundays will be shipped the next working day, which is normally the Monday. Our couriers do not offer collections on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays We ship by a number of carriers, all UK normal sized items go by a 24 hour signed for courier service. This is our standard means of shipping. Please note that deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands can take an extra day even when using a 24 hour courier service due to the distances involved. However whilst we pay our couriers for an express service we cannot gaurantee the speed of delivery as operational problems can occassionally cause delays. International orders are shipped using UPS standard service which takes between 48 and 72 hours to arrive at the destination.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. Whilst we will ship to some addresses outside the European Union our website s not set up to calculate shippping charges for all but a few locations such as Switzerland and Norway, please e-mail us for a shipping quote for any other destinations.

Credit Card Security

All credit card payments are processed by WorldPay a secure card payment company. No card details are held by this company. WorldPay encourages the use of both the Verified by Visa and Mastercard Secure Code PIN verified systems for cardholder protection.

Guarantee

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm

You may cancel your order within 7 days of the date of ordering.

All items which you wish to return should be dispatched to our address: The Outdoor Gear Shop at Homebarn, Oakleigh,Ford, Bideford, Devon, EX31 5BU, England. Items returned within 7 days of the date you receive them or within 14 days of our invoice date, which ever is the longer, will be refunded no questions asked. Items received back after this time but within 15 to 30 days after our invoice date will be refunded by credit note unless otherwise agreed by us in advance of our receipt of the item. Items received 31 days or more after our invoice date will not be accepted.
All items must be in new condition with the labels and tags still attached and in the original packaging. We will not accept back for return items that are damaged, dirty or are missing any packaging, labels and tags. We emphasize that we will not accept returns that are not in saleable condition.

Faulty items are delt with by a seperate procedure which usually involves the manufacturer assessing the item for refund or repair at their discretion.

Homebarn do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. Returns Policy

All items which you wish to return should be dispatched to the address on the returns note, which is enclosed with your order. We are in the process of moving premises. so please do not send any items to our Unit E address.:. Items returned within 14 days of our invoice date will be refunded no questions asked. Items received between 15 and 30 days after our invoice date will be refunded by credit note unless otherwise agreed by us in advance of our receipt of the item. Items received 31 days or more after our invoice date will not be accepted.
